David gets his masters

I am so proud of my brother in law, David. He completed his masters degree. Kylah and I went to all of the graduation day festivities. We went to the "hooding", commencement, refreshments at Leanne's and dinner at El Matador. Kylah was sick and slept in my arms most of the day.

Parker's birthday

Parker has never had a friend party before due to summer activities that have fallen on his birthday. So at age 7 he had his first friend party. It was a carnival theme. He was upset for a day that it was a "boys only " party due to a girl at daycare who wanted to come. It happened to be a very hot day. It was around 95 degrees out that day. In attendance were his friends; Corben, Marcus, Traiven, Nicholas, Michael and his cousin Gavin. His sisters were also in attendance on the sidelines.  We had hot dogs, popcorn, chips, cupcakes and ice cream sandwiches. We played lawn darts and they boys spent the majority of the party squirting each other with pencil type water squirters.  I think the water was the best part for all of them.

After the party was over, we took Parker to Boondocks.  They give you an unlimited fun pass on your birthday.  Parker was able to ride the go-karts, the bumper boats, play miniature golf (Kylah played also) and play the arcade games. He loved squirting his dad and Kylah on the bumper boats. He and Kylah were cute as could be learning how to play miniature golf.

Dinosaur Park

Leanne and I had planned to take the kids to the zoo today.  Her schedule got pretty hectic so we opted for lunch at McDonald's and the Dinosaur Park instead.  It was a much shorter drive.  I was watching Alex today as well so Leanne, Kadence, Shelby, Alex, Parker, Kylah and I went.  Parker just wanted to get to the playground and didn't pay much attention to the attractions. Kylah loved looking at everything with her cousins. Alex was so good to just sit in the stroller and take everything in.  He was able to get out and stretch when we got to the park.  He and Kylah were fascinated by the ducks.  Kylah was only on day 4 of potty training so we made many trips to the bathroom.  The kids all seemed to enjoy themselves and Leanne and I got to sit in the shade and talk a lot of the time.

Air Show

Aaron worked at the air show at Hill Air Force Base fueling planes.  He got some pretty neat pictures of some planes very close up.

Mom's trip to Massachusetts

I was able to go to Massachusetts to attend Jason's college graduation.  He received his associates degree, Summa Cum Laude. He graduated from Dean College. He received an outstanding achievement award, Alpha Sigma Lambda National Honor Society. He was the only one present to receive a straight 4.0 GPA.  I am so proud of him. I am also proud of his wife, Dana she has about a year to go to get her degree, but she is also getting a 4.0.

After graduation we went to lunch. It was nice to be able to spend time with them. I loved getting to know my niece and nephew better.  My dad and I took the kids to McDonalds playland after lunch so that Jason and Dana could get some sleep. They were making a 15 hour drive that night to go visit Dana's mom.

I spent the few days prior to graduation catching up with friends from high school.  I stayed with Shannon and she carted me around everywhere I needed to go. I was also able to go to dinner with my friends Jenn and Joanna one night.  While at dinner Joanna and I both found out that Jenn is engaged and also expecting a baby.  I am so happy for her.
